Planned Rest

“I’ve always found a cure for the blues is wandering into something unknown, and resting there, before coming back to whatever weight you were carrying.” – Diane Sawyer

One thing I have learned in the last year and half is the importance of rest. You can’t go 100% all the time and think that you are able to focus on what’s important. Exhaustion doesn’t allow you focus like you want, and you end up not being where you want to be. The key is making you take the time to rest and do things that you want to do to better yourself and enjoy life. That’s why I love photography so much. It gives me something to enjoy and something to practice at.

I took these photos on a day I choose to do something I wanted to do. We took a trip up the mountains some time ago and walked to Catawba Falls. While I didn’t realize the walk would be so intense, but it was worth it for the views at the end. Here are some shots of the views I captured while at the end of the trail.
