Chasing Waterfalls

“The past always looks better than it was. It’s only pleasant because it isn’t here.” – Finley Peter Dunne

I love finding new places. Typically when I visit somewhere I take the time to research somewhere new I can visit for the first time. When we went to Northeast Georgia last summer, I looked around for new places to check out. I found these waterfalls north of Helen and thought it would be fun to check them out. We drove down this long winding, mountain road. The hills were so steep I had to downshift my truck to prevent my brakes from burning out. The ride was beautiful.

The closer we got, the more rural it felt. Eventually, we came to a place where there is a creek in the middle of the road. While I thought my truck would make it through, I didn’t want to risk it and get stranded somewhere with no cell service. Instead we walked around the creek and enjoy the cool mountain air. I would put the location on here, but I have not idea where I was when I took this photo. I might not remember where I was, but I remember how I got there and how beautiful it was that day.
