That Time I Chased a Butterfly

“Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

The closer it gets to the end of the year, the fewer butterflies we will see flying around. A couple of weeks ago I was riding my bicycle around First Ward Park, and I saw a butterfly hanging out near the bushes. I wanted to take advantage and get one good shot of the guy. Every time I got in position he would decide to either fly away, close his wings, or change his angle to where I couldn’t see him that good. I’m sure I looked ridiculous running around with my camera in my face trying to take a picture of him. After a while, he finally decided to pose for me. I’m not sure if he got tired of flying around, or just gave up because I wouldn’t stop trying to snap a photo of him. I did finally get some good shots of him before I had to head back home.
