A Walk on the Pink Side

What is your favorite time of year? For me it has always been hard to decide. I like every season for a different reason. I love fall because of the cooler temperatures and the leaves changing. It is also football season, however for the last couple of years my team has been the laughing stock of the league. Winter is a great time of the year because of the holidays and celebrating them with friends and family. I love summer because what school teacher doesn’t love summer. It’s a hard-earned break from the busyness of the school year. I am also a big fan of spring. You have the weather starting the warm up which means I can do a lot more outdoors. Flowers are starting to bloom and everything is starting to grow again. I don’t have a favorite season, but I have a reason to enjoy all of them.

I love this time of the year because all of the trees in Charlotte have started to bloom. A few weeks ago, these trees had no growth on them at all. Now they are covered in pink and white. I have two in my backyard that I am still waiting on to come up. I plan on planting two more this year. I took these photos while I was riding my bicycle on the light rail trail in Charlotte, N.C. This is one my favorite places to ride in Charlotte. It takes you straight to Uptown. I also will turn and head over to a few other fun places to check out. I love this time of the year with the trees blooming. It makes the entire trail more fun to ride on. It only lasts for a few weeks, and then they are green until fall.
