Catching Butterflies – Throwback Thursday

“Surprise is the greatest gift which life can grant us.” – Boris Pasternak

Photographers, what is the craziest thing you have done in order to get that one shot? What crazy angle did you position yourself and your camera in order to get the view just right? How many times have your laid on the ground in order to get that one angle that hasn’t been see before? Are you self-conscience of how you look while taking your photos? I’m sure if you see me around town in Charlotte on the weekends, you will notice that I have my camera on me, and I am trying to capture a new view of my city that I have not seen before. You might see squatting on the ground, using my mini-tripod or my crystal ball. I try do everything I can in order to get the most unique capture that I can. I am sure to some I look ridiculous, but I try not to think about it. I just enjoy being out there with my camera, and showing the world what I see.

I took these shots last year at First Ward Park in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. I found this butterfly near the back of the park near UNC-Charlotte. It took me forever to get these shots of him because he just kept moving. I am sure I looked weird with my camera close to bush moving all around it. It took a few minutes, but I finally got some shots of him.
