“I try to do the right thing at the right time. They may just be little things, but usually they make the difference between winning and losing.” – Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Sometimes the simplest things are the most enjoyable. Sitting outside reading a book, riding my bike through the neighborhood, or sitting in my chair with a good cup of coffee are some of my favorite things to do. Sometimes we overcomplicate fun. Often the most fun I have is enjoying the presence of friends and family. I try to set aside time every day to just relax and enjoy the simple moments in life.

I took these photos right in my front yard. This is the time of the year when I have a lot of plants blooming. I had recently purchased these beauties a few days ago from the grocery store. I try to upgrade my yard every year with different plants in order to add a little life to it. I have been pretty big on doing things in my yard, but when the pandemic started, I decided to do way more, and now I try to add something new every year. Last year I added a vegetable garden to my yard, and soon I will be planting it in order to have some fresh produce during the summer months.

I took these photos with my Nikon 55-200mm lens. It’s one of my favorite high mm lenses to use because it is actually pretty small. It is about the size of 18-55mm. I have a lens that goes up to 300mm, but it is huge. My Nikon one is great because it is so small, I can bring it with me with I ride my bike or go on long hikes. This way I don’t have to bring my larger camera bag with me. I have a small sling bag that holds my camera, an extra lens, and a few extra accessories.
