“Common sense and a sense of humor are the same thing, moving at different speeds. A sense of humor is just common sense, dancing.” – Clive James

I would like to think that I have a sense of humor. I saw a meme once that said how some people often try to find the balance between being funny and not being reported to human resources. Many have said that it is me. I try to find the lighter side of things and to find enjoyment in life. Life is too short to be miserable. One issue with having a sense of humor is some people tend to think I don’t take things seriously. I guess if you see that I am joking around all of the time you might think that. While I am not too concerned about what people think about me, I don’t want to be ignored because I try to lean in to who I really am. I have learned over the years that there is no point in hiding your true personality. When you hide who you really are it adds more stress to your life. One of the best decisions I have ever made was when I decided to be me, and no one else.

I took these photos a few weeks ago at Marshall Park in Uptown Charlotte. This is one of the spots I frequently visit while riding my bike with my camera on my back. On this last visit I decided to try and get some views of the park that I don’t normally take. This park has a great view of Uptown Charlotte that is frequently used by various networks to capture a view of the city while they are broadcasting.
