Maybe Looking at This Will Cool Me Off

It has been a little on the hot side for the last few days. Typically, it gets warmer this time of year, but I feel like the heat is here a little early. I have been trying to beat the heat as best I can by finding shade at recess, but when my 5th graders recess time is late during the day, I hope I don’t get too sweaty. I am ready for summer, but I don’t think I am ready for the heat yet. I don’t mind it being hot when I can go to the pool or wear shorts. Right now, neither one of those things is an option. Right now, I am counting down the days until the end of the school year, so I can start to actually enjoy the heat.

Maybe looking at these pictures will help me cool off a little bit. I tell my 5th graders to think cool thoughts, and I am going to try the same strategy by thinking of these pictures. I took these photos last January when we saw some snow. It was the first time we had actually good snow in a while. I walked around the neighborhood, and snapped what I could.
