Before Sunset

“At the end of the day, we each have a different definition for beauty, but being yourself is the most important.” – Maria Borges.

I believe that every day is important and has a purpose. Each day I set myself a set of goals to accomplish. Depending on the day depends on the goals I have. As a teacher I normally have a set of ideas I want my students to walk out with at the end of the day. During the weekend, I typically have a list of things I need to do around the house. Somedays my list of goals is to just relax and enjoy the day. My daily goal isn’t some sort of Mount Everest level accomplishment. Most days it is simple, and really just a way for me to appreciate the day. To me every day is important, and setting goals keeps it that way. How do I know I have accomplished my goals for the day? Typically, I reflect early the next day. While I reflect, I think about which goals I accomplished, and which ones I didn’t. Then I plan for the day.

Side note: I took this photo a few years ago at Fripp Island. This was taken right before sunset.

What goals have you set for yourself for today?
