A Visit to the Falls – Throwback Thursday

“Nature is pleased with simplicity. And nature is no dummy.” – Isaac Newton

Sometimes I have to just get outside. Where I live at this time of the year it can be tricky because it has been super-hot down here in the deep south the last few weeks. There are times when I have to plan the day out in order for me to get at least some time outside. I usually try to get out in the morning before it gets too hot. I did take advantage of the other day when it was way cooler outside. This morning I am trying to enjoy some time outside by writing outside. I packed my backpack with my laptop and walked out to the table to set up there. Sometimes you can find a different level of peace when you go outside, even if you are surrounded by people all around you.

One thing I love about the throwback tradition is it gives me the opportunity to look at photos that I had taken previously. It gives me a moment to reflect on the memories of when I visited somewhere. That’s one reason I love photography to begin with. Looking back allows me to remember and reflect on good memories of some of the great places I have visited.

I took these photos last summer when we went to visit Anna Ruby Falls near Helen, Georgia. I have actually been here a couple of times before this visit, but these falls are so incredible that I wanted to see them again in person. I must have taken almost 100 photos that day. Every square inch of this place is beautiful. The walk to the falls is super simple. You only have to pay a small fee to enter. The fee is worth it because they use the funds to preserve the falls. If you are in Northeast Georgia, I highly recommend you take the time to visit here.

How are you taking the time to get outside? I know it has been hot with the weather lately, but we still need to find time to enjoy nature. If you have to make a plan in order for you to have the time to get out. What are you going to do in order to have some time to spend in nature this week?
