Great Views of Fall

“With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

When the leaves start to change for me it feels like I have a very short window in order to capture fall at its best. For some reason every year, there is that one weekend that rains, and then I feel like I missed it. While the fall season is long, the time when the leaves change to when they come off the trees can be very short. I try to get as many photos as I can while the colors are in full change. My family and I try to take a trip to the mountains at least once a year to see the changing leaves. I try to time it right, and as long as the weather cooperates, we are able to see fall at its finest. I love this time of the year because it changes the entire landscape.

I took these photos last year while I was riding my bicycle around Freedom Park in Charlotte, N.C. Freedom Park is one of the largest parks in the city. It has a lake with fountains, fields, a stage, and walking paths. It’s a great place to spend the day just hanging out. I could have easily stayed here longer that day. I remember the weather being perfect, and I had timed it just right with the leaves changing.
