Hello Moon

“The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.” – e. e. cummings

It always seems odd to me when the moon comes out while it is still light outside. To me, the moon is something that should only been seen at night. Whenever I see the moon during the middle of the day it is out of place.

There are parts of life that seem out of place. Plans don’t work out the way you thought they would, the timing of events seems off, and you don’t like how something turns out the way you envisioned it. We have to learn to adapt and enjoy the moment as much as we can. I try to as best I can to look at the long term.

I took these photos back in 2020 (speaking of a year that didn’t turn out as expected). We were vacationing over at Fripp Island, South Carolina during Christmas. This was a much-needed rest from a year that had been filled with madness. I was waiting for the sun to set at this one spot, and I noticed the moon perfectly over this palmetto tree.
