“Freedom is nothing but a chance to be better.” – Albert Camus

I am always surprised when I arrive at a place that I have been to before, and something about it looks completely different. In Charlotte, it seems like every single part of town is under construction. There are times when I am driving by somewhere and one day there is a building there, then the next day that same building is gone. It is normal to see radical changes where I am.

Not only do I see changes in construction, I also see changes in the scenery. From the blooms of springs to the falling leaves of autumn, everywhere around me is always changing. I try to capture those changes when I can.

A few weeks ago, I was riding my bike around Uptown Charlotte, and I noticed something I had not seen before. There was this spot that it normally just a bush, but it was filled with purple flowers. The bush was covered with blooms and bees.

I took these photos at First Ward Park near UNC-Charlotte in Uptown. It’s a fun urban park with a great view of Uptown in the background. It’s one of my favorite places to ride to.

Beautiful asters… beautifully captured.
