Can’t See Ahead – Throwback 2022

“The great thing about getting older is that you don’t lose all the other ages you’ve been.” – Madeleine L’Engle

This year was a big year for me, I turned 40. When I was younger, I thought I would feel different when I turned 40. However, I feel the same as I did 10 years. The only difference is I have experienced a decade of life since I turned 30. While I do not know what the next ten years hold for me, I do have the knowledge and experience to help me navigate the next decade and beyond. My goal for the next ten years is to use the life lessons that I have learned in the last ten years in order to have a successful decade.

Last New Year’s, the family and I spent the week in Gatlinburg, Tennesse in the Smokey Mountains. We had a few days of rain, and afterwards I learned why they called it the Smokey Mountains. You couldn’t see 10 feet ahead of you. I tried to capture the beauty of this thick fog that day.
