“Great minds have purposes; others have wishes.” – Washington Irving

I try to look for opportunities to take photos as often as I can. I used to only go out and take photos maybe once a month at the most, or just when we went on vacation. When the pandemic started in 2020, vacation didn’t seem like something that was going to happen. I started taking random photos around the neighborhood, but eventually I ran out of things to photograph. I started to ride my bike again, and I loaded up my camera in my backpack. This is when I discovered there were so many great places to take photos in my own hometown that I had been missing out on for years. Now, I try to get out about once a week, and take photos. I am always on the lookout for more opportunities to take photos.

I took these photos while we were staying near Gatlinburg, Tennessee last year on winter break. It had rained a lot while we were there. While we were driving to the store, I noticed this stream running down the side of the mountain. I found a spot to pull over, and took as many photos as I possibly could.

This are amazing, love the black and white!!
