“The most wasted day of all is that on which we have not laughed.” – Nicolas Chamfort

How often do you laugh in a day? Do you laugh at all during the day? Sometimes it can be difficult to find humor in certain situations. I can’t count the number of times I laugh in a day. From the random things my kids say at home to the random social media posts I stumble upon every now and then. I don’t need to find a reason to laugh, it often just comes to me. I try to find humor in certain situations because it keeps my mood light. I’m sure there are studies out there that prove that we should be laughing every day, or there is some kind of physical benefit of laughing daily. I just try to enjoy the moment as best I can because I know that moment will not last forever. I encourage you to do the same. Find joy in the day because a day does not last forever.

Last summer my son and I hiked up to Crowders Mountain together. Crowders Mountain is located near Charlotte, N.C. in Gaston County. It’s a great place to hike for the day with clean trails and plenty to explore. It’s not any easy hike because it is straight uphill for several miles. We had to stop a few times while hiking up to the top. These are some of the photos I took on the way up to the top of the mountain. My son asked me a few times why I was taking random photos. I laughed and told him I wanted to remember the moment. Even while almost out of breath while hiking up the mountain we found reasons to laugh and to enjoy the moment.
