“The only way to discover the limits of the possible is to go beyond them into the impossible.” – Arthur C. Clarke

We all want to be the best, the best at what we do, but are we willing to do what it takes to be the best? We say we have what it takes to be best, but are we willing to use it all in order to get there? When comparing being the best to a mountain, you realize that the closer you get to the top, the harder it gets. When you get closer to the top, it starts to get steeper. When you get closer to the top, the air gets thinner, requiring you to give more of yourself in order to get there. We have what it takes to be the best, you just have to use what we have in order to get there.

I wrote my thoughts for this morning based on my walk to the top of Mt. Mitchell that I did last summer. While it wasn’t the most grueling walk to the top that I have ever done, some of it was true. The air is thinner the higher up you go. The way to the top is steep, but the road is paved making it easy to walk up to the top. Mt. Mitchell is located in the North Carolina Mountains. You can access it by taking the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s a beautiful road with amazing views and places to pull over in order to see them.

Beautiful photos, words and quoteβ¦ I only wish to be and become my best self, not better than anyone else. πβ¨
