Change the Complexity

“Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated.” – Confucius

It seems like all the time; everyone wants to make things more complicated. Often times for the sake of growth, we add more things to our lives so we can improve. Before the pandemic, I was always busy. When things shut down, I started to reevaluate my busyness. I realized I was doing way more than what should be expected of me. For example, I am an elementary school teacher. It seems like every week, every day, and sometimes every hour there is some new initiative that needs to happen in order to help students. Finally, I figured it out that it’s not all of those extra things that make me successful in the classroom. Last year, I learned that if I keep it simple, use what I know, and focus on what I am best at, my students see success every single time. That is my new approach to life and work. My goal is always to keep it simple.

I took these over at Romare Bearden Park in Uptown Charlotte. This park has this pretty cool water feature, some beautiful flowers, and an amazing field that allows you to enjoy Uptown Charlotte.
