“There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

Over the last few weeks, I have had some personal things happen to me, but along the way I have learned many life lessons. The main life lesson that I have learned is that while I want the world to stop, it does not. It doesn’t matter how tragic or how much you want things to stop, they will not. In order to deal with this, I have learned that while I want things to slow down in order to deal with it, life does not work that way. I have learned that the best way to cope with this is to keep going. I know that I can’t do it all, but I try to keep up the best I can. It’s hard to want to keep going sometimes, and we wish the world would stop with us, but that just doesn’t happen. What we have to do is step back from what we can, and step forward as much as possible. I am still reflecting on this, and will write more about it on a later date.

I took these photos last summer while visiting Cherokee, North Carolina. The Oconaluftee River runs right through town. Cherokee is considered Native American Land, and it is governed different than most parts of the United States. It’s fun place to visit where you can learn more about Cherrokee culture and history. It is located in the North Carolina Mountains near the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Your words and photos remind me of that saying, ‘go with the flow’ which I take to mean ‘go with the flow of Life’. Sometimes it’s a roller-coaster ride. 😂💕✨
