“The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.” – Bertrand Russell

I am sure there are some people out there who think that I am wasting my time taking all of these photos, and writing about them online. It is true that I spend a lot of time doing this, but I don’t see it as a waste of time because I enjoy it. I try to get out and take photos at least once a week. I typically ride my bike from my home to different parts of Charlotte to capture them with my camera. The ride to different locations gives me a moment to unplug and reflect on the previous week. I enjoy taking the time to edit my photos, even if it takes more time to get them posted. I have learned a lot over the last few years when it comes to lighting, framing, and more about photography in general. For me, photography is not time wasted, but time well spent for me.

I took these photos last year when I traveled to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It rained quite a bit while we were there. These photos were taken on the side of the road after it rained. I found a spot to pull over, and I took as many photos as I possibly could.

perfect captures 🙂

Beautiful photography! All that matters is how you yourself feel about how you use your time, what meaning, pleasure and sense of delightful exploration it gives. I see that you use photography as creative expression and joy in sharing. Let others have their opinions about wasted time and enjoy yours my friend. 🤩
