“The decisions you make are a choice of values that reflect your life in every way.” – Alice Waters

It is a rare day when you get everything perfectly aligned to take a great picture. Usually, it is just one or the other. You might get windy weather with clear skies. The lighting is perfect, but the water is moving too much in order to get that reflection. On the other end, the wind is perfectly still, and you can see any blue in the sky with all of the cloud cover. I can only go out and take photos on certain days. My goal is to go out about once a week, and sometimes the good weather falls when I go out and on other days it doesn’t work out as planned. I try to make the most of it when I can get out. From long-exposure photography to street photography, I try to keep something in mind every time I go out.

I took these photos just when it happened to be perfect weather outside. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, I try to take as many great photos I can. I took these photos one afternoon after visiting the farmer’s market in Uptown Charlotte. I had just finished eating a tasty treat and headed over to Marshall Park in Uptown. I was already enjoying the great day, but being able to take these photos made it even better.
