When the pandemic started, I knew it was going to alter what life would like forever. I have seen several changes in my job, social life, and everywhere else. Knowing life would be different on the other side Covid-19, I decided to prepare myself for the moment when schools would re-open and everything was “safe” again. I started reading more about mental health and ways I could be better at my job. I am an elementary school teacher, and I saw what closed schools was doing to my students. I knew when I had students in the classroom again, it would require more to prepare them for the next day due to losing class time. Here are a few of the things I do now that have helped me be a better person post pandemic.
๐Sleep and rest are a priority.
โณI use my time wisely. I used to spend hours preparing lessons for work, now I use what I have and put more energy into what I do in the classroom.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆFamily is a priority.
๐I take time for me as often as possible. From writing to bike riding, I try to do something once a week to do something that’s good for my body and mind.

I took these photos when I went to Bryson City last summer. I took these photos at a gas station near town. You know you are in a pretty cool place when even the gas station has great views.

Looks like a beautiful place. ๐
