“It is better to know some of the questions than all of the answers.” – James Thurber

Every day as an elementary school teacher I am asked dozens of questions a day. Ranging from can I get a pencil to how do I solve this problem. Questions are a normal part of my day. The ego side of me wants to think that I know the answer to everything in order to prove to my students that I know everything. The truth is, I don’t know everything. As much as I would desire to know more than Google, the truth is I don’t. I could try to portray myself as a know it all, but that wouldn’t be the truth. Instead of pretending like I know the answer to every question, I am honest. I might say something like I am not sure to we can look that up together. Being great doesn’t mean you know all of the answers, but it is knowing how to ask the right questions.

I took these photos last fall while I was riding my bike around Freedom Park. Freedom Park is one of my favorite places to visit in Charlotte. It is a beautiful park with a pond in the middle with great paths all around. Getting to this park is pretty easy, but getting back home is all uphill.
