The struggle you’re in today is developing the strength you need tomorrow. – Robert Tew

Facebook does this thing where it shows you photos and posts from the past. They call it the “on this day” section. I’ve been using Facebook for almost 20 years now. I know, I am showing my age a little bit. One thing I like about the “on this day” section is looking back and remembering all of the great experiences I have had over the years. I love looking at the photos I took of my kids when they were younger and being able to relive those experiences briefly. One thing I don’t like about it is what I deemed was a quality photo to post online. Sometimes I will look at the picture I was posting, and ask, what was I thinking when I put this online. I know the quality of cameras on mobile devices has improved a lot since then. The camera on my cell phone can take 108-megapixel images. Looking at those bad photos shows me how far I have come when it comes to photography. My skills are way better than they were when I bought my first DSLR in 2017. I have taken thousands of pictures since then, and I try to get better and better at it each day. What I have learned is practice today, leads to better photos tomorrow.

I took these photos a few months ago while riding my bike at Freedom Park in Charlotte, N.C. This is one of my favorite parks to visit because there is so much to do here. From walking around the lake to enjoying a great day outside. These shots were taken of Little Sugar Creek. The creek runs right by the park, and there is a bike/walking path that leads all the way to Uptown Charlotte.
