“Hope is patience with the lamp lit.” – Tertullian

We want things to work out for good, and yet it doesn’t seem to happen right away. One thing Iam judged on every year as an elementary school teacher is my student’s end of year test scores. While I do not believe test scores are the be all end all, the fact of the matter is that is how it is. It takes the entire school year to get to this one event at the end of the year. I truly did not see the full fruits of my labor until the last few days of school. Along the way, I do see how my students are progressing in preparation for the end of the year. Having hope that I am doing what’s best for me students and that keeps me patience with the process all year.

Last November, I visited Fisher Farm Park to take photos with the family. While I was there, I decided to take photos of the landscape. I found this lone tree in the field we were walking in. I took quite a few photos of it at multiple angles. Other than the photos I took of my family that day, this was my favorite subject.
