“No legacy is so rich as honesty.” – William Shakespeare
Honesty can be something that is in short supply these days. From leaders who will say anything to stay in power to social media influencers who are dishonest about their lifestyle and who they are to gain more likes and followers. I see how it affects my students because honesty for them can be a struggle at times, and if you look at the influences, they have on their lives it is easy to see why it is a struggle for them to be honest. We have to do better as people about being honest with ourselves and each other. We cannot count on others to do the right thing and set the best example for others. We have to take the challenge and do the right thing.
Last July, my wife and I took a trip to Durham, North Carolina for the weekend. We spent most of the time checking out every great restaurant in the area. We also explored a park called the West Point at Eno. It had many awesome features from a working watermill to a photography museum. It was a great place to hike and check out for the morning even though it was super humid that day. I took this shot because I was amazed at how clear the water was here.
