When everything in 2020 happened, all of my travel plans went out the window. We had plans to go camping and go on a cruise that year. 2020 was the year a lot of things such down. That was the first summer we had stayed home in years. Typically, we would go on a couple of trips to enjoy the time, but nothing really worked out. We thought about camping that summer, but everywhere was fully booked or charging way too much. Towards the end of the year, we knew we had to get away for a little bit. So, my wife and in-laws planned a getaway for us at Fripp Island on the South Carolina coast at Christmas. While swimming was out of the question, it turned out to be a great trip. We were able to relax and enjoy the change of scenery as a family.
I took these photos while checking out different spots on Fripp Island. I had heard this spot was a great location to watch the sunset, and that was true. When I took these photos at the time, all I was focused on was the sunset, and I didn’t see the house in the background. It was a nice touch to an already great photo.
