“The smallest deed is better than the greatest intention.” – John Burroughs

I would like to think that most of us have good intentions. Most of us don’t want to harm those who are close to us. The problem is often we have good intentions, but poor follow through. We want to text that friend we haven’t heard from in a while, or acknowledge someone for how they help you and support you. Too often we get caught up in what I am doing isn’t enough, but the truth is even if we feel that what we can do isn’t good enough, so then we do nothing. We have to move away from doing nothing to doing something. Send that text even if it is a few months late. Send someone a small surprise on Amazon by putting that Prime membership to good use. Doing the smallest deed is better than doing no deed at all.

I took these photos during my last visit to the Bahamas. We took a cruise there last spring break. After spending the day in Nassau, we sailed over to an island called Half Moon Cay. We spent the day swimming at the beach and snorkeling. This was the first clear day we had since getting on the ship. The island is a beautiful place that I will be visiting again sooner rather than later, and I will share more about the upcoming cruise on a later date.
