“Out of difficulties grow miracles.” – Jean de la Bruyere

Last weekend, I took advantage of the great weather and took a drive up to the mountains. It is not quite at peak yet with the leaves changing, but the views were still amazing. We spent the morning at an apple orchard near Hendersonville, North Carolina. We picked apples, rode on a hayride through the farm, and tasted some delicious apple cider doughnuts. After that we had lunch at a BBQ and pizza joint. I was a little suspicious at first, but I was surprised at how great it was. I had some of the best potato salad and cheddar bacon grits ever. Then we finished our day driving up to Jump Off Rock. This small park had a great view you could just drive up to. All in all, it was a great day.

This was one of the many photos I took on our day trip on Sunday. Spring and fall are my two favorite times of the year to take photos. The landscapes are always different, and I love how the different colors just blend together. I took these photos while we were waiting in line to take the hayride to the apple orchard. The sun was hitting this tree just right. These were some of my favorite photos from the trip.
