What Is Right

“Start with what is right rather than what is acceptable.” – Franz Kafka

In education doing what is acceptable is becoming more the norm. Too often, we go with what would appease everyone as opposed to what is best for everyone. Typically, when we try to appease someone, we don’t think about what is best long term, instead we are thinking more of the short term. We try to get the situation to where we see immediate change, but too often we don’t try to get the long-term change that we need. While we are dealing with many issues right now in education, we have to focus more on long-term solutions and not the short term.

While most of the trees in Charlotte bloom in the spring, we do have some that bloom during the summer months. I captured these while I was cruising around Marshall Park last summer.
