“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

Often times our dreams don’t look like what we expect them to. This happens to me all the time when I take photos. I will take a picture, and think this one is it. I will think that it is the best photo I have ever taken, and then it turns out to be the worst photo ever. Then I will just snap a random photo, and then it will be one of the best photos I have ever taken. When taking photos so many things can go wrong, and even in the day of digital photography, you can still miss out. Life is the same way. We have long term plans, but they don’t look like we thought they would. If you had told me I would be an elementary school teacher 15 years ago, I would have told you that you are nuts. While life might look like I thought it would, I still am doing what I dreamed I would be doing years ago, having a positive impact on those around me.

I took these photos a few weeks ago while riding my bike through Uptown Charlotte on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. I decided to do some long-exposure photography of the fountain.
