“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” – Robert Frost

I look at years based off school years. I know most people see their years as January to December, but I view mine in terms of August to July. It’s similar to how many businesses see their year as November to October because of the fiscal year. Last school year was one of the most hectic of my life. I missed more time at work than any other time for a variety of reasons. Work was not necessarily more hectic than usual, but outside of school was a lot. From Covid striking my house twice last year to family passing away, I never really felt like I had a chance to breathe. The main lesson I learned from all of that was that life does not stop. While I wanted things to stop and slow down, it never really did. Just like a waterfall, life never stops going. I learned in that season to stay focused on what matters, and keep my priorities in line.

Here is an example of a waterfall that doesn’t stop, Anna Ruby Falls. None of the photos are of the actual falls, but the stream that flows at the falls base. We took a trip up there back in 2021. It was one of our first camping trips post Covid. We traveled to Helen, GA, and saw many of the different sites there. One of my favorite places to visit is Anna Ruby Falls. The walk to the falls is paved and pretty easy to do. The views on the way there are amazing, but the view at the falls is even better.
