Look at the Reflection

“There’s a world of difference between truth and facts. Facts can obscure the truth.” – Maya Angelou

We often try to find reasons to avoid self-reflection. It is easier to blame someone else for the issues in our lives as opposed to looking at ourselves, and trying to see what we can do ourselves to improve the situation. I see this all the time in education. While there are several problems that are out of our control, there are some that we can control if we try. From making sure things are organized to helping my colleagues reach their students, I try to find ways to make where I am better. This is something we can all do. Find one area in your life that you can improve, take a moment and do it.

Today’s throwback only goes back a couple of months. I took these photos back in September while I was riding my bike around Uptown Charlotte. This is one of my favorite spots to visit and take photos of the city.
