Set a Goal

“Great minds have purposes; others have wishes.”- Washington Irving

I am a goal setter. Every day I have goals and things I want to accomplish throughout the day. When I am at work, I have a goal for a certain number of my students to preform well daily. We even have a call and response that we do when they achieve that goal. I have goals on my days off. I set my daily goals for my students at the beginning of the year once I see how they preformed the previous year. Those goals can range from getting chores done around the house to just relaxing for the day. Typlically, I set these goals either the day before or the week before. Too often we see goals as something that has to be something of a large magnitude, but in the end goals can be something simple that helps us be better at what we do.

I have two goals when I go out and ride my bike. The first is to get some excerices. The second is to take photos of some of the great places around Charlotte in order for me to show off the beautiful parts of the city that I live in. This is one of my favorite spots to ride my bike to. This is part of the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. When you look it, it doesn’t feel like you are in the middle of the city. I am only about a few blocks away from Uptown Charlotte. It’s a nice escape for the day to day of city life, and gives that feeling you are in nature.
