Revisiting the Falls – Throwback Thursday

“Everyone is a genius at least once a year. The real geniuses simply have their bright ideas closer together.” – Georg C. Lichtenberg

Sometimes I enjoy revisiting a location I have taken photos of before. One, since I have already been there, I know what to expect in terms of layout and directions. I have a general idea of where everything is, and I don’t have to worry about getting lost. Two, I know what I am looking for. I already know what the highlights of the area look like, and where I need to focus my camera on. And finally, I like revisiting places because sometimes there is something I missed the previous time I was there.

I took these photos on my second trip to Linville Falls back in 2022. Where were camping nearby in an area called Golden Valley, and I saw that this was not too far from where we were camping at. From the parking lot it is a short hike to the area that is known as the upper falls. We walked over and spent a few minutes just enjoying the sound of the falls and taking photos of it.
