Get Lost

“Into each life some rain must fall.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When it comes to taking photos, one of my favorite things to do is to go somewhere and just wander around with my camera. I like to walk around and see what I can discover. When I have left the beaten path I have found various streams with bodies of water, a deer, and even on time an iguana. I enjoy finding places and things that you normally don’t see when you visit somewhere.

Last summer, I visited Hamilton Branch State Park to visit some family. We were staying in Augusta, and the park was close by so we headed up there for the afternoon. At one point everyone was swimming in the lake, so I decided to walk around with my camera for a little bit. Hamilton Branch State Park is located near the border of Georgia and South Carolina. The park sits on Strom Thurmond Lake. It has a few trails, a great view of the lake, and a nice campground.
