🤪Who Wants to Talk About Monday?🤪

I know what you are thinking, why on earth do you want to read a post about Monday? Here me out on this one. We have to think about how our attitude about the first work day of the week affects our mindset about the other 4 working days.

This all started a few weeks ago at a staff meeting where my assistant principal was talking about our mindsets. One of the things he said was we look at Mondays with dread, and we need to see them as opportunities. At first, I took this as a joke. I even made a few jokes about it, but when I started making jokes about I realized he had a point. I realized my attitude about Monday can affect my perception of the rest of the week.

How do I flip the script?

👀 It all starts with looking ahead at the opportunities in front of me.

💻 Before the start of the week, I make sure I have everything ready for the week. As a teacher that means having all of my slides and assignments ready for my students to complete.

📅 I look ahead to see what is coming up for that week, from activities with family to school events that are happening. I look to see what days I’m going to the gym and plan out our meals for the week.

😄 I get excited for the opportunities to positively impact students and my family for the week.
