“A photograph is usually looked at – seldom looked into.” – Ansel Adams

Often times when we look at a photo, we look at a general view seeing he main highlights. Sometimes when we look at a photo, we miss out on the details that can be missed. Every week I try to post a photo that I took years ago because it gives me an opportunity to remember the moment and see if there is anything I missed when I took it the first time. Often times we miss the details because we are so focused on the big picture. While as a photographer I might not think that my photo will ever makes its way to a museum, I do think that it’s easy for me to overlook what I captured because I am in a hurry to get to the next photo. In photography and life, we have to take a moment to appreciate the details that we have in front of us.

I took these photos last March while I was riding my bike to Freedom Park. This is one of my favorite places in Charlotte to ride to because I have memories of this park as a child. My grandparents lived close to this park when I was growing up, and they would take me here to play at the playground and feed the geese.
