“The road to success is always under construction.” – Lily Tomlin

I enjoy taking a trip down a rural road. Weither it be in the country or the moutains, I love driving at places where I am not surrounded by buildings an stop lights. This is more than likely because I live in the city. Don’t get me wrong, while I would love to live in a more rural area, there are somethings that I would have a hard time giving up. From same day Amazon Prime delievery to my job only being 7 minutes from my home. However, on long trips, I do enjoy a great ride through the country side.

I took these images last November when my son and I took a trip up to Curtis Creek near Old Fort, North Carolina. We came right after the peak week for when the leaves change. That is my favorite time to come because there are fewer crouds, and I love the variety of oranges and browns in the tress and on the ground. I think it provides an excellent backdrop to an already beautiful scene.
