“A will finds a way.” – Orison Swett Marden

I have always been a fan of going out in nature. Taking photos can be the excuse for being out in nature, while at the same time being out in nature can be the excuse for taking photos. I try to spend as much time outside as possible during the weekends and when we travel. Often times our travel plans will have us planning for time of us to do something outside.

I took this photo on one of my many times getting out and exploring. We were staying at a camping resort in an area they call the Golden Valley in North Carolina. They had a hiking trail nearby that what I would like to think is a mountain, but it was really just one big hill. I climbed up to the top, and then took a few moments to enjoy the view captured in these photos. On the way back I saw a different path that I thought led to the same place, and I decided to take that one. It turns out it took me to a completely different spot. Fortunately, I had a signal on my phone, and I was able to use Google Maps to make my way back to where I had parked my bicycle.
