I miss going to the zoo. When my kids were younger, we would go to the zoo often. Back when we were living in Kentucky, we would go almost once or twice a week because the zoo was close to us. When we moved to North Carolina, we didn’t go as often because it was further away, but still managed to go every few months. I always enjoyed walking around the place, watching the animals, and checking out the other sites they had as well. Now that my kids are older, they haven’t been asking to go lately. Maybe I might sneak up there this summer.
I took these photos back in 2019 at the Riverbank Zoo, in Columbia, South Carolina. As soon as you walk in, the first thing you see is the flamingo exhibit. I captured these photos of them the last time I visited.
