Uptown Charlotte

“There is no influence like the influence of habit.” – Gilbert Parker

I remember a few years ago, someone asked me why I liked living in Charlotte. I have always loved this city. I was born here, but didn’t grow up here. My dad has lived in Charlotte most of his life, and I would visit him here when I was younger. Something about Charlotte always appealed to me. When we had an opportunity to move here back in 2012, we took it. We have been living in Charlotte for the last 12 years, we have roots here, and have no plans of leaving anytime soon.

I took these photos yesterday. My wife wanted some photos of her and her jeep with Uptown Charlotte in the background. We drove over to the parking deck at the Met and went straight to the top. The deck has a great view of the city in the background, and we were not the only ones taking photos there. Even though there were a lot of clouds yesterday, the sky made a perfect backdrop to the city.

If you are wondering where the exact spot is, send me a message.
