One the newer additions to Charlotte over the last couple of decades is the light rail. It really changed how you can get from other parts of the city to Uptown Charlotte. One of my favorite features of the light rail, is the rail trail that runs along side of it. This is one of my favorite paths to ride in Charlotte because it is rarely the same every time I ride. Most often I ride on the weekends, and it’s usally pretty busy then. From dodging people to the different events that happen almost every weekend makes it to where there is always something new to see.

I took these photos a while back when I was riding the rail trail in January. There usually isn’t a lot going on those days because it’s cold, but I enjoy the trail being peaceful. I decided to do a few in black and white because it brought out the details more.
