“You can’t change the world alone – you will need some help – and to truly get from your starting point to your destination takes friends, colleagues, the good will of strangers and a strong coxswain to guide them.” – William H. McRaven

We all have a desire to make some kind of impact in the world. We want to make a difference. While all of us are not destined to be the president or cure cancer, we will have the ability to make a positive impact in the world we live in. From our career path to taking time and volunteering, we can all make a difference in our world. Sometimes we are not sure how we can make an impact, and that’s why their are times where we need someone to guide us there. There are times where we are unsure where we can make the greatest impact, so we have to seek out someone to show us where that is. It can be a family, a friend, a mentor, or even a community organization. Don’t waste you life being unsure, but seek out guidance in order for you to be able to see how you can make the greatest impact.

I took these photos back when I was on a cruise during winter break. Our port was in Charleston, South Carolina. One of my favorite things to do is to capture the sunrise and sunset over the water. To me, it is one of the most amazing views I have ever seen, and it has a different look every time. From different clouds to just a different collection of color. As we were leaving I saw the harbor pilot boat leaving. Their job is to guide a large ship in and out of port. They typically know the water ways better than one, and are best suited to guide the ship out of port.
