Heading Out

“Imagination is at the root of much that passes for love.” – Gilbert Parker

I love a good trip, but one thing is at the end of a fun filled day, I am tired. When I have been going all day, checking out different sites, experiencing new things with the family, and taking a million photos, I am usually set to call it a day. Depending on the trip we are on, sometimes I will set up times for some rest. Over the last few years, I have learned that rest is a powerful thing. There is only so much caffeine in the world that will keep me going. In order for me to have the best experience possible, I will set aside some time to rest and just enjoy myself.

I took these photos during my rest time on our last cruise to the Bahamas. We had just spent the day riding Jeeps all around Nassau. Let me be clear, my family was riding in the Jeep, and I was the one driving for the first time in a foreign country. It was a lot more than I bargained for. At one point my heart rate was so high that my watch thought I was riding my bike through town. While it was a little stressful at some points, it still was a lot of fun. I enjoyed seeing many of the different sites and having a little beach time. While we were back at the room, our ship started to leave port, and I grabbed my camera and captured these photos as we were heading back out to sea.
