“The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings.” – Eric Hoffer

Typically, when I post older photos, I don’t post ones that I have taken in Charlotte, especially if it is a place that is near my home. The reason why is because I am often visiting these places and capturing new photos of them all the time. I figured that I don’t need to post anything from before because I will visit there and capture new photos. I stumbled upon these this morning, and for some reason they really struck my eye. I took them a couple of summers ago. One thing I enjoy about riding my bike during the week is there are fewer people out, and it gives me an opportunity to capture some great shots without so many people around.

I took these photos over at a park called The Green in Uptown Charlotte. It is a literacy themed park with the goal of encouraging children to read. There are quotes by famous authors, references to their works, and most of the park is literacy themed.
