Using Strength

“That which does not kill us makes us stronger.” – Friedrich Nietzsche

If I had to reflect on the year that I learned the most about myself, I would have to say it would be 2020. I know for many, 2020 was not a good year. I am not saying it was a good year for me, but I tried to maximize that year the best I could. I heard a sermon from my church (since it was the Covid times, it was on YouTube) that talked about how things would be different post-lockdown. I took it to heart, and started to prepare myself for when things were going to open up again. The main thing I did was start to lean in to my strengths more. I decided to be more like myself, share my strengths more, and value rest. I am going to reflect more on these things in a later post.

I took these photos last fall when my son and I took a day trip up to Curtis Creek. Curtis Creek is located near Old Fort, North Carolina in the mountains. I have always loved visiting Curtis Creek because I get to see amazing views without having to hike too far from my truck.
