“A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.” – Diane Arbus

To be honest with you, one of the reasons I go out to ride my bike is to get away from everything. I love having those moments to just pull away and get my thoughts together. Some of my best ideas for work or life came from my bike rides. This is because I disconnect and disengage. My focus is one riding my bike, and where I can capture some good photos at.

While I am out riding alone doesn’t mean I won’t speak to anyone. I’ve had some interesting conversations over the years while riding my bike around Charlotte. Some people ask me about my photography in general, and some ask what I am taking photos of.

Last week, I visited Freedom Park for the first time this year. I try to go every few weeks, but between the rainy weekends and being busy, I have not had the time to go. I had some time last week, so I headed down there. The weather was great because it was clear, and it wasn’t too hot yet. These photos were taken of the pond that is in the middle of the park.
