Back to the Beginning – Throwback Thursday 2021

“We aim above the mark to hit the mark.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think it’s a good thing to go back and visit places that were an important part of your life. It helps us see how far we have changed as people since the last time we were there. When we go back, we start to remember how we were back when we were there, and hopefully we see how much we have grown since then. Sometimes we go back and see that life didn’t turn out the way we thought it would while we were there, but that doesn’t mean our lives are worse, in fact it could be better than we planned. Going back gives us an opportunity to reflect, helps us see where we have improved, and where we need to improve.

I took these photos back when the family and I visited Toccoa Falls College back in the summer 2021. We camped outside of Helen, Georgia, and we checked out a lot of the sites around the area. One day we took a drive to Toccoa and checked out the college where my wife and I graduated from. We were able to show our kids where we first met, where I proposed to their mom at, and the falls on campus. It was a fun experience. These are some of the photos I took on campus.
