Be Kind

“There are glimpses of heaven to us in every act, or thought, or word, that raises us above ourselves.” – Robert Quillen

While my wife and I were driving yesterday, we were talking about how it seems like so many people drive angry and not considerate of others. It amazes us how many people act like they are the only ones on the road, from changing lanes without warning while almost hitting other cars to not paying attention at a turn signal with everyone behind you missing it because the car in front was too busy playing on their own. Driving is just one instance of this. Too often our reactions are based on anger as opposed to being considerate. We are tempted to judge everyone as trying to do us wrong instead of looking at the big picture. When we are wronged, we should try to respond with kindness as opposed to anger. We might find out that it was more than likely a misunderstanding.

I took these photos a few weeks ago while riding my bike around Uptown Charlotte. I took a stop over a Romera Beadon Park to check out the fountain and some of the flowers growing there. I don’t visit this park too often because it’s a little out of the way, and sometimes the lighting isn’t where I prefer. However, this day was a great day to take photos over here.
